(Erica Sunshine Lee's 7th original album)

1. SHUT UP HEART (Lee)

Leave me alone so I can rest.  It’s hard to breathe with this heaviness.  You’re bringing back thoughts and causing tears. I don’t need none of that here.  I can’t think straight.  You keep on getting in the way.  I’m tired of being torn apart. So shut up heart! Stop pulling me in, making me always think about him. I’m trying to walk away for the last time, but you never let me get him off my mind.  Shut up heart! I can’t take no more of your lies. I get lost when I let you try to take the lead, but all you do is make me bleed. So shut up heart!  Stop telling me to go back.  Some things are better off in the past, even though he made me feel like the only thing that’s ever been real.  I can’t think straight.  You keep on getting in the way.  I’m tired of being torn apart.  CHORUS I can’t think straight.  You keep on getting in the way, I’m tired of being torn apart, you keep tearing me apart.  CHORUS

2. THE BOTTLE AIN’T ENOUGH (Lee)

I know we said it’s over, but I can’t seem to sleep.  You’ve got what I want, and you know just what I need.  So if you’re out at the bar sipping on a glass of memories, I’m doing the same thing here, might as well come join me.  So pick up the phone, I’m waiting at home, put your key in the truck and Baby turn it on.  Just a couple of miles, I’ll leave on the light, ‘cause you know how much I hate sleeping alone.  What you waiting for? I’ll be at the door, just a little bit to cover me up, and you can take over where we left off ‘cause tonight tonight tonight the bottle ain’t enough.  Whoa  You act like you’re tough, but I know how to make you weak.  Just looking at my number makes your heart skip a beat.  So don’t try to pretend that you don’t want a taste.  Even if it hurts tomorrow, tonight I’ll make it okay.  CHORUS  Don’t waste time trying to make sense of this heart of mine.  You know it’s only the truth you hear after two of three glasses of wine.  CHORUS

3. MY FAVORITE WORD (Lee)

Seven letters short and sweet is what you’ll always hear from me.  It’s the one that keeps me from getting hurt.  Goodbye is my favorite word.  Maybe if I can stay long enough, I could let myself fall in love.  Well sweet Baby haven’t you heard?  Goodbye is my favorite word.  Chorus If I have to let you in, then I’ll be forced to stay.  I can’t stick around, ‘cuz I was born this way. You might think it’s easy to settle in one place, but come this time tomorrow, you’ll hear me say the same ole’ song and same ole’ dance that never let’s me take a chance.  You’re so much more than I deserve ‘cuz goodbye is my favorite word.  CHORUS  Seven letters short and sweet is what you’ll always hear from me.  It’s the one that keeps me from getting hurt.  Goodbye is my favorite word.  Goodbye is my favorite word.

4. MEDICATED (Lee/Garcia)

Don’t think I’m gonna sit around and cry about you.  I’ve got too much pride and a hundred proof.  A little RX bottle right here with my name.  Just a matter of time and I’ll be feeling no pain.  I’m gonna stay medicated, so I don’t feel my heart breaking.  I’m gonna pop a few pills see if the liquor can chase it.  Instead of wasting tears, I’m getting wasted, I’ll take whatever it takes to stay medicated.  Smokin’ like a Chattanooga bound choo-choo.  Now that my buzz is buzzin’ my caboose is loose.  Ain’t gonna stop til I forget his name.  The number he did I need to numb my veins.  CHORUS  Nobody wants to hear another sad chick song bitchin’ bout how she got cheated on.  CHORUS

5. WHISKEY BENT AND JAIL BOUND (Lee/Mills)

He lost his job, he lost his wife, when he lost his kids, he lost his mind.  That boy ain’t nothing but a country song.  Got nothing to lose except his own soul, held up a finger and hit the road; trying to find a place where he belongs.  Been on the wrong side of the rails since New Orleans; now he’s off the grid and ain’t been seen.  He’s whiskey bent and jail bound.  That boy ain’t showing no signs of slowing down.  Trouble finds him in every town.  What goes around comes back around, he’s whiskey bent and jail bound.  That system pushed that man too far, keeps winding up behind steel bars.  He slips a little more everyday.  But every time they cut him loose, he hangs himself with his own noose, picks up that shovel, starts digging his grave.  This time he swears he’s gonna change, but that bottle keeps pulling his words away.
CHORUS  Last time I saw him, I just waved.  He was picking up trash on the side of the interstate.

6. I Don’t Wanna Talk About It (Lee)

I don’t wanna talk about it anymore.  We’ve both ran the subject into the floor.  I know this ain’t worth fighting for.  I don’t wanna talk about it anymore.  So take my hand and make me see that you still have love for me.  Give me everything that I’ve been missing, all your love and all your kisses.  Tonight, make me believe you still want you and me.  Can’t we both just take a breath?  Sometimes the words we use should just stay in our heads.  Maybe we can settle this argument.  So can’t we both just take a breath?  CHORUS We both love to fight so much, how ‘bout for a change, we both fight for us?  CHORUS

7. PILLS AND BOOZE (Lee)

I’m in room 265.  Hung the “Don’t Disturb Me” sign.  I don’t think I’m getting out of bed.  ‘Cause I’m 3000 miles away, it’s just me and this suitcase in this town where only truckers come to rest.  I don’t need cocaine to take away the pain.  What else can I do?  I’ve got both so why choose?  Pills and booze, take this hurt away from me.  Pills and booze, maybe I can get some sleep.  I’ve got nothing here to lose, but I’ve gotta kick these blues.  Take a sip and pop a few pills and booze.  I ain’t seen the light of day.  Don’t want room service or a maid, so I don’t have to face anything.  And this wonder buzz is kicking in.  The room is starting to spin in a queen sized bed I’m feeling like a King.  I don’t care for smoke, can’t afford the coke, but there’s a bulletproof way to change my attitude.   CHORUS

8. JESUS AND GEORGIA (Lee/Wilson)

Not sure where I lost it, somewhere along the way. Maybe on an airplane, or some empty highway.  Might’ve been 10 years ago. I’m not quite sure when, all I know is I ain’t been the same since.  Searching for a feeling, what I needed I can’t say, as far as I could go, I just needed to escape, and everywhere I turned just made me emptier inside.  Thought I could keep running, but I’m getting tired.  Mama said one day I’d find my way back to my roots, she said “Child, there’s only so far you can go until you decide to come back home to the place where you belong, we’ll be waiting for ya, Jesus and Georgia.”  Out in California, I sure like the fast pace, and you can’t beat the weather, but I forgot how to pray.  Maybe all the earthquakes shook up the thoughts inside my brain.  Tried to keep up with the “Joneses”, but that ain’t my last name.  CHORUS  You can run, you can hide, you can drive, and you can fly, but there’s only so long til you lose the fight, til you lose the fight.  CHORUS

9. MEDICINE (Lee/Calhoun)

She left you in the mess you’re in.  You’re wondering when it’s gonna end.  It’s hard to let her go when you’re holding on.  The leaves are falling down, she ain’t coming back around.  Left with the spring and never came home.  Let me be your remedy.  If you need something to forget, maybe just a good night’s sleep, a little help to numb all the pain, or to get you through the week, if you want to fix the hurt inside, Baby you can come to me.  I know your broken heart needs to mend, let me be the medicine.  Carousel at the county fair, got you spinning ‘round going nowhere.  Isn’t it time you’ve had enough?  She left you feeling hurt and used, never knew how to tell the truth.  You deserve a dose of better love.  Let me be your remedy.

CHORUS

10. BRIARS TO FERNS (Lee)

When I was just legal and you were my lover, who knew back then what we would uncover?  We walked hand in hand, got soaked in the rain, found myself but lost you in exchange.  And the years flutter by like an old worn off feather.  We will grow stronger through all kinds of weather.  Pretend you don’t know me as I pass you by, but the truth is revealed in your eyes.

So pace yourself, brace yourself, you just never know where kisses can lead and dreams will follow.  Through all of life’s mysteries and twists and turns, the briars can lead you to ferns.  The briars can lead you to ferns.  I don’t regret ever losing a thing, cause you learn from goodbye, toughen up from the sting.  You taught me a lesson if you let down your guard, be prepared to lose your heart. CHORUS  Farewell to the days of a bird in a cage.  She’s flown so far, so far away.  You can’t hold her back, or go back there again, the feathers got lost in the wind.  CHORUS

11. MUSTARD SEED (Lee)

Cross-legged on the bathroom floor, she’s crying when he opens the door. She says “Not this time, guess we gotta keep on trying.” They’ve been to every doctor in this town; the same answers the same let downs, but they keep on praying for a miracle and keep on waiting.
Sometimes God’s plan isn’t the same, we want sunshine, He gives us rain, but what we can’t see up ahead, is that we needed the water instead.  He hears our cries of despair, and even though we can’t see him, he’s always there.  A little faith is all we need,

just wait and see what He can do with a mustard seed.  Cross-legged on the bathroom floor, she’s crying when he opens the door, but it was different this time.  She said “Baby, it’s a plus sign.” CHORUS  Well there wasn’t a day that passed for that nine months, she didn’t get down on her knees and thank God for what He had done. CHORUS  Cross-legged on a hospital bed, she’s crying when he walks in holding a bundle of joy.  He said it’s a healthy baby boy.

12. DRUNKER (Lee/Watt)

It all started at 10am out on the lake just a reelin’ ‘em in.  Got a Yeti Roadie, filled it up.  Caught a few fish and a bigger buzz.  Why stop when we’re on a roll?  So we ditched the rod and the fishin’ pole.  Hitched a ride to the honky tonk.  Tonight we’re gonna get our party on.  One drink ain’t enough.  Two shots just because.  3am, it’s closing time and the night ain’t getting younger.  No we ain’t getting drunk, we just getting drunker.  Well a girl walks in a bar, “It’s Me!”  Let the good times start.  Order up another round of PBR, put some damage on my credit card.  The next stop: Irish pub, gotta show my people love.  Got my game face on a couple of friends.  Tonight’s gonna get a little out of hand.  CHORUS  Why wait til the weekend?  We’re gonna soak it all up while we can.  Why wait til the weekend?  We’re gonna soak it all up while we can.  CHORUS

13. TWO WORDS (Lee/Peck)

Two words. Flat tire. It happens. Got fired. Oh well. That’s life. Quick fix. Over Ice.Two shots. Thrown back. Been there. Done that.  Two words. It’s on. What problems? All gone.  I know what you’re going through.  Lord knows I’ve been there too.  Gotta do whatcha gotta do.  Even if it’s 100 proof.  No matter what it takes, you can drink it all away, yeah that’s the way to forget about a bad day.  Break up.  Ex here.  More shots.  More beer.  Dance floor.  I’m game.  No fear.  No pain. CHORUS  Two words.  Black out.  Where am I now? Who’s bed is this?  Did we?  We did.  CHORUS

14. TAKING THE HIGH ROAD (Lee)
I’m taking the high road. I’m walking it straight. Following the narrow. Few know the way. So if you wanna join me, come right along. I’m taking the high road, and I’m getting stoned. I don’t like arguing, I don’t like fights. I roll with the punches and I’m rolling one up tonight.  Too much drama, too much stress. I need to take a deep breath, and I ain’t talking cigarettes. CHORUS  Pile up my problems in a mason jar. Yeah when the smoke clears I can’t see where they are. Yeah just like magic, they all disappear, and I can face all my greatest fears.  CHORUS

15.  BAR BRAWL (Lee)

Well it was bottomless mimosas, on a Sunday afternoon.  We started out with brunch, ended up at the Red Door Saloon.  Two or three hours later, had a tab I couldn’t pay.  Next thing I know I was on the floor, turned my head just a little too late. It started with a pub crawl, turned into a bar brawl.  Just a little bit of alcohol, what the hell happened y’all? It all started with a pub crawl, ended in a bar brawl.  The floor was covered up in glass; smell of two dollar bud.  People staring taking pictures at me lying in my own blood.  Now I won’t say it’s the first time, I got a little out of hand, but I was on my best behavior.  Somebody help me understand. CHORUS  We were throwing punches and getting loud, then the man in black escorted us out.  Now I’ve got a mug shot for my profile, I said it wasn’t my fault, told the judge at the trial.

CHORUS

1. Mud On My Boots (Erica Sunshine Lee) 3:22

Thought she was a sweet church going gal.  Had everyone in this town fooled 'til I caught her scheming little wandering hands on my husband down by the school.  She crossed that line, so I had a point to prove.  Had to teach that girl a lesson, what's a wife supposed to do?  There's a few more bricks at the bottom of the lake when morning comes it'll be too late.  I've got mud on my boots, blood on my hands, ain't nobody gonna take my man. Well I thought about giving her a good talkin' to, but ya know some folks just don't listen.  When I walked into my own living room, and I saw 'em there kissing.  I could've screamed and yelled, raised some hell, but instead I went to the store.  Got my revenge with a 9 millimeter when I got back to her front door.  CHORUS Expect to get burned when you're playing with hot grease.  Lord forgive her for what she's done, may she rest in peace.  CHORUS

2. Another Sad Love Song (Erica Sunshine Lee) 4:04

It’s Tuesday night, typical of us to fight about whose supposed to clean, did I put my clothes where they should be?  Listening to your friends saying we should throw the towel in.  Every sign is pointing to the end. But I don’t wanna give up just yet, We’ve spent too many nights in this bed, to walk away now, we’ve gotta find a way to work it out somehow.  You and I’ve got the kinda past, everyone says it won’t last, so let’s prove ‘em wrong, ‘cause I don’t wanna end up another sad love song playing on the radio, making me wanna hold you close, bringing tears to my eyes, causing another sleepless night, making me think about what we said, the arguments and regrets, lying in the dark all alone, no I don’t wanna end up another sad love song.  Well, here we go again, breakin up then we make a mends. Knuckles turning white, holding on for dear life.  Lately all I hear you say is what’s the use, we should walk away?  Seems like your gone by the look on your face. CHORUS  I’ll be the first to admit, this is harder than I planned. They say love takes work, but you and I’ve been dealt a pretty tough hand. We’ve got a lot here to lose, but more than anything I still love you. CHORUS

3. Leaving Atlanta (Erica Sunshine Lee) 5:42

80 miles outside Montgomery.  My gas tank’s running low.
My eyes are heavy from driving all night:Destination west coast.
Follow signs up ahead, pointing me away from the past.
Wonder if they think it’s just a phase, one they hope won’t last.

Cause I’m leaving Atlanta, I’m leaving it behind.
Headed back to California, they all think I’ve lost my mind.
Cause I belong here in Atlanta, I belong here with my family.
Now I’m driving back to California, where I can be me.

Nothing is forever, I keep telling myself.
Whatever it is pulling me away may not be good for my health.
But I can’t stick around hereWondering what may have been?
It’s time I make a move decide which state of mind I’m living in.
CHORUS
Caught between my head and heart.
History or a brand new start.
What do I have to lose except everything I’ve known but curiosity’s killing me down to the bone.

So I’m leaving Atlanta, I’m leaving it behind.
Headed back to California, they all think I’ve lost my mind.
Cause I belong here in Atlanta, I belong here with my family.
Now I’m driving back to California, where I can be me....

4. Girls With Guns (Erica Sunshine Lee & Ashley Rivera) 3:37
9 mm in my bedside drawer, dare somebody to walk through that door.
Rifle in the closet, bullets in the case, with an aim like this who needs mace?
Out in the country we don’t just use fists.  Try to take what's mine well Honey I don't miss. Here’s a warning, better listen up son: Don’t mess with Texas or girls with guns.
Daddy taught me when I was young to protect myself and how to hunt.  I've got a 12 pt. buck hanging up in the den, and an empty place beside it if you try to come in.  CHORUS
I don’t need to rely on a man when I got a Smith and Wesson in my right hand.  I heard the dog bark and the glass break; trespassin was his last mistake.  CHORUS

5. Drinking and Praying (Erica Sunshine Lee/Kirstie Lovelady) 3:27

Mama called and asked if I’d been to church this week. I said it’s hard to walk through them doors when you act like me. I’m not sure how much God hears when I’m chugging another beer, and her fusion’ is the last thing that I need. But I’ve been praying a little less and drinking more. Paying for mistakes I know I can’t afford. Lately it seems I don’t know just what I’m living for, but I’ve been praying a little less and drinking more. Bartender says I think you’ve had enough. No matter how much you drink it won’t fill you up. He said the bourbon over ice can’t compare to Jesus Christ, trust me I’ve drank from both cups. But I’ve been praying a little less and drinking more. Paying for mistakes I know I can’t afford. Lately it seems I don’t know just what I’m living for, but I’ve been praying a little less and drinking more. Even when you think you’re in this by yourself, all you have to do is ask for his help. So I’ve been drinking a little less and praying more. He’s paid for my mistakes and now I know the Lord. And I know for certain He's the one I’m living for. I’ve been drinking a little less and praying more. Yeah I’ve been drinking a whole lot less and praying more. Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. Oh I once was lost, but now I’m found, was blind but now I see.

GIRLS NIGHT OUT”–written by Erica Sunshine Lee & Produced by Eric Varnell

Well it’s Friday night, 5 o’clock, been working all week now it’s time to stop, meet up for some drinks at our local bar, then hit the town like we’re a bunch of rockstars.  He said he’d call but my phone ain’t ringin’, had it up to here with men so I’m thinkin’, break out six inch heels for a change, let loose, have a few, we’re gonna take some names.   It’s time for a girls’ night out, dressed in our best getting loud, turn every head walkin’ through the door, shakin’ our booties on the dance floor.  Gettin’ all buzzed, gettin’ all crazy, in our high heels actin’ like ladies.  Can I get an Amen and another drink?  Lord knows it’s been a long hard week, leave our problems at the house, yeah it’s time, oh it’s time for a girls’ night out.  No drama, kids or boys allowed, we are the party we bring the crowd, going big ‘cause we ain’t going home, until the bar closes or until dawn.  CHORUS

A break from reality, escape is what I need, I’m ready, so ready.  CHORUS

“GEORGIA FOR THIS”–written by Erica Sunshine Lee & Joe Denim**

Tofu and avocados don’t make a meal, and six dollar lattes that ain’t a deal.

Spent a hundred bucks on a pair of yoga pants from Lululemon, that don’t make sense.  Sitting in five hour traffic sure ain’t fun.  I swear somewhere in this smog there’s a California sun.  I oughtta be catfish fishin’, eatin’ fried chicken, frog giggin’, tires a spinnin’ in that Georgia clay, muddin’ up a Chevrolet.  Lazy river floatin’, pontoon boatin’, drinkin’ Cherry Coke and sittin’ there jokin’ with all the friends that I miss, oh I can’t believe I traded Georgia for this.  Rent a room that I found on Craigslist, for a thousand bucks, this is all I get.  Neon dreams brought me to the west coast, made me realize what means the most.  Oh this fast-paced living life’s too fast for me.  A red-eyed flight can take me right back to where I need to be.  Chorus  Oh and Mama called and I got all choked up, so I booked the first flight out, I’ve had enough.  Now I’m catfish fishin’, eatin’ fried chicken, frog giggin’, tires a spinnin’ in that Georgia clay, muddin’ up my Chevrolet.  Lazy river floatin’, pontoon boatin’, drinkin’ Cherry Coke and sittin’ here jokin’ with all the friends that I missed, oh I wouldn’t trade anything for this.  Georgia, I wouldn’t trade anything for this.

“EVERYONE LOVES A COUNTRY GIRL”–written by Erica Sunshine Lee*

If you get all dressed up to the nine, drink margaritas to unwind, pretty as a picture swingin’ on a front porch swing.  If you pour up a cocktail, mix it up right, sit around the fire ‘til the morning light, in your plaid flannel and some cut off jeans.  Yeah you’re just like me.  From Ellie Mae to Daisy Duke rolling in the hay in her cowboy boots, from the north to the south, east to the west, straw hat, tan legs, and a little sundress.  Raise your glass up high, all night long, make a toast to this song, singing all around the world, everyone loves a country girl.  We get down and dirty in red clay, mud ride in trucks on Saturday, and we sure know our way around the kitchen.  And even when a four-letter slips out, it’s like sweet honey drippin’ from our mouths, we say words like y’all, ain’t and fixin’. We ain’t just below the Mason Dixon.  Chorus  We can ride on a horse or a 4x4.  We like to drink, dance, and party some more, it don’t matter where you’re from, we ain’t hard to find.  No we don’t care about glamour and glitz, take a log cabin anyday over the Ritz, we ain’t afraid of livin’ it up to have a good time.  We’ve been known to walk the line.  Get a little crazy on that homegrown shine.  Chorus

“THE SOUTH WILL RISE AGAIN”–written by Erica Sunshine Lee*

Who knew at 5am it would happen that day?  I heard the train comin’ ‘round the bend.  The sun happened even risen yet.  It wasn’t freight it was carryin’, and the south will riseagain.  Spinning out of control, that tide started to roll, they say the sky was like black snow.  You hear about it, never think it’ll happen, next thing ya know here comes a tornado, and the south will rise again.

‘Cause it ain’t just where we live, it’s the people who make this place, winds will blow, rain will fall, floods can come and go, but nothin’ can get in the way, through thick and thin, God knows, the south will rise again.

My cousins and my friends were shaken by the wind, but they won’t lay down and die.  Some hearts were breaking, some lives were taken, but ‘canes and twisters only make us look to the sky and the south will rise again, the south will rise again.

There were letters that ended up in Tennessee, carried up through Birmingham from Montgomery, and the family that found it drove all night to bring it back just so they could deliver it; and the south will rise again.  Chorus  Who knew at 5am it would happen that day?  I heard the train comin’ ‘round the bend.

“TRAIN WRECK”–written by Erica Sunshine Lee*

We’ve both got our secrets, and we’ve both caused such pain, if we call ourselves best friends, then why don’t we just say what’s on our minds, instead of just denying.  Everyone around us said we’ll never work, I’m beginning to see now that our love must be cursed where do we go?  I can’t keep up the show.
I don’t need no time to think about the situations or talk it out, I’d rather just say farewell and walk out the door.  ‘Cause neither one of us will change and all the problems still remain, and I can’t watch this train wreck no more.

I’ve held on too long, and you’ve ignored the truth.  Sometimes when you’re comfortable you put up with more than you need to we’re both confused, so what’s the use?  I looked into your eyes, and never saw such love, but in the end it dawned on me, that just ain’t enough to build a home, my heart still needs to roam.  Chorus

Letting go will be the hardest part, but I know that we’ll find happiness once we are apart.  Chorus  No, I can’t watch this train wreck no more.

“HOLLER IF YOU’RE BLUE COLLAR”–written by Erica Sunshine Lee*

Eugene sells life insurance going door to door, but he lost his retirement when the economy hit the floor.  Twenty years with the same company gone down the drain, what’s a man to do when he’s got nothin’ has to start all over again.  Joe puts his boots on at 6 a.m., rolls out of bed. Thirty years he’s been waking up headin’ down to the granite shed.  He drives his F-150 down that gravel dirt road.  It’s time for a tune-up, but he’s got heavier things on his load.  So he clocks in as he starts another day.  Jumps in the assembly line, and he says to his buddy Ray.

High-five if you’re still alive workin’ this day to day 9 to 5, carryin’ on this same ole’ routine.  Put your hands up in the air if you make an honest livin’ anywhere.  You folks know what I mean.  Holler if you’re blue collar.

Butch is an ole’ farmer down on Highway 17.  He’s been raisin’ them cattle and feedin’ them chickens since 1963.  He wears his old man’s veteran hat to honor those who served, ‘cause his Daddy lived fighting for what he believed and he died to show his worth.  So he hops on the tractor wipes the sweat off of his brow.  That heat in the Georgia sun takes a toll as he starts to shout.  Chorus  So if you’re out busting you’re ass just to earn your keep, on heavy machines or in a factory just to feed your family.  Chorus  Holler if you’re blue collar!  Holler if you’re blue collar!

“MAYBE THAT’S WHEN YOU’LL NOTICE”–written by Erica Sunshine Lee* & Rachel Williams

How was your day Dear? Mine wasn’t so bad.  I scrubbed the toilet clean, wiped down the shower, and picked up your dry cleaning tab.  So I started to think about why I’m still here, cause you’ll never be as happy with me as you are with your beer.

‘Cause when the laundry piles up and the dishes aren’t done, and the smell of the trash overtakes your cologne, when you walk through the door and your supper ain’t on...maybe that’s when you’ll notice I’m gone.  I get what’s left over, your friends get your best.  I can spend hours getting fixed up, and you won’t even turn your head.  You thought I was joking, thought I’d never leave, but now with the boxes loaded in my car, you’ll believe.  Chorus  Chorus

“DRINKING FOR TWO”-written by Erica Sunshine Lee*

I prefer non-smoking please, yes ma’am a table for one will do.  It’s just me and this empty left hand, and I don’t need a menu.  A stool might be better. I think I’ll just sit at the bar.  It’s too soon for a booth since my back’s been stabbed so hard.

He left me all alone. Now I just keep holding onto the memories he’s left behind.  So keep ‘em coming don’t slow down the pours, ‘cause with the heartache he caused it’s gonna take a little more than a flight, so I’m drinkin’ for two tonight.  Maybe I’ll take a look at the specials, but I probably won’t eat a bite. Ever since he’s left I ain’t had much of an appetite.  ‘Cause when you’re by yourself at night, no there ain’t too much to say, and the thinking ain’t helping at all to try to wash his memory away.  Chorus  Now I know this time you ain’t coming back and you made that clear before, so I might as well drink to forget what I came here for.  Chorus

“ALL I CAN GIVE”–written by Erica Sunshine Lee**

I know there’s other girls who can rock your world.  You deserve to fall for a love that won’t fail at all.  I’ve heard in the past the kind of women you’ve had, had all that money can buy and I’m just getting by.  Ain’t got a big old house or a fancy car.  Lately seems all I’ve got is maxed out credit cards.  Ain’t got much to offer, so before you start, just know all I can give you is my heart.  All I can give you is my heart.  You say you don’t care, you just need me there, and I know you mean well, but in the end only time will tell.  Chorus  Got bills to pay, got my own way to make, barely enough, but inside of me is love.  If you wanna take a chance on this romance, I’ve gotta be honest Dear, there ain’t much left here.  Chorus  All I can give you is my heart.  All I can give you is my heart.

“YOU SAVED ME”–written by Erica Sunshine Lee & Damien Baguley

There ain’t much I remember about those days except the night we met, I’d been messing around the lights got blurry, but I will never forget.  The way your curls danced ‘round your pretty little face, I knew I had to get myself a taste, I just couldn’t believe when you looked my way.
You saved me from the life I didn’t want to lead.  You baby are the only one I need. When I was down you picked me up, and your smile was enough to make these blind eyes see, you saved me.

Don’t it seem like just yesterday we were strangers across that room, ain’t it funny how a few years later, there ain’t nothing we can’t get through.  Oh the way you showed me how to fight, and make it through all the dark times, life seems so much clearer through your eyes.  Chorus  Well I’ve been pulled in all directions, down some I shouldn’t have gone.  All these twists and turns they lead me right where I belong.  Chorus

“ALL MY BUCKS GO TO STARBUCKS”–written by Erica Sunshine Lee*

Times are tough these days it seems we’ve got a lot on our plates chasing dreams, sometimes I get lost in between.  On my way to work I stop in, we’re all addicted a slave to sin of that green sign how every day begins.  Broke as glass on a bar floor, but I can’t help it I still want more it’s become a sad routine that’s for sure.  It’s hard these days down on my luck, tryin’ to earn a livin’ I got no bucks, ‘cause I’m giving it all up to Starbucks.  Won’t wash my car, I’m saving up, can’t spend the dough to fix my truck, but you better believe I’ll have my Starbucks.  Find a quarter, feed the meter, I open the door as they yell out Peter, as I step up to the barista greeter.   I’ll take a grande latte extra whip, better yet, why don’t ya go ahead and skip the sugary pleasure that lingers on my hips. Chorus Get back in the car, head into work, survive a few hours after lunch dessert, back to the same place to keep me alert.  Venti cappuchino in the afternoon, gotta close a deal, go hang the moon, ‘cause nothing I’m eating is being fed with a spoon.  Chorus  After dinner treat, walk across the street.  You know they’re on every corner ya see, so I grab an espresso to keep me on my feet.  I work hard for my money though I don’t recall, where it’s going. I gave up the mall.  I’m cuttin’ corners so I just ordered the tall.

Chorus Chorus

“CHUNKY DUNK” - written by Erica Sunshine Lee

I’ll grab the grill, you grab the beer, we’ll all meet up this afternoon out by the pier, cruise over to the river, tie up and anchor down, put a life jacket on ole Billy, make sure he don’t drown. Well thin may be in out on the west coast, but down here we like a little something extra so we can float. Inner tubes, pontoons, and a whole lot of booze, we use real butter and we like to fry our food. Oh, I don’t know a country boy that don’t like some curves, a little cushion for the pushing ain’t never hurt. We can go out to the lake once we all get drunk, if you can’t skinny dip, chunky dunk. Well I like my big butt and I cannot lie, I think Sir Mixalot and me would get along just fine. Ain’t nothing wrong with a little more to love, so if you’ve got it, flaunt it, even if it’s more than enough. CHORUS

Shake that money makers, yeah that badonkadonk. Don’t be shy if you’ve got junk in the trunk. CHORUS Oh if you can’t skinny dip, chunky dunk. Splish splash!

“HOW ‘BOUT THEM DAWGS”–written by Erica Sunshine Lee & Kenneth Johnson

School’s back in session, summer’s come and gone.  Downtown Athens, Georgia’s got it going on.  Football down here is like religion too, we ain’t afraid to show our colors through and through.  Uga’s been waiting for month’s just lickin’ his chops;. We’ve got 90,000 people here ready to kick it off.  Now we’re back between the hedges ready for gametime, wearing red and black cheering from the sidelines.  If you ain’t from the south or the SEC, you won’t understand what it means to me, so let me hear it y’all, “How ‘Bout Them Dawgs.  It doesn’t matter who you are, young or gold, just don’t come around here wearing orange or gold.  Dawgnation’s tailgating ready for a fight, we’ll be ringin’ Chapel Bell later on tonight.  Hairy Dawg is pumped up and hunkered down, “Glory Glory” starts playing as our boys start running out.  CHORUS

Special Note from ESL

WOW, I’m so excited, I can’t believe this album is my 5th record!  Thank you for your support in my songs and sharing in my journey.  As an independent artist, I’ve single handedly written, recorded, and funded all my projects, but they wouldn’t matter without my fans listening to my music!  I’ve put my heart and soul into every word I’ve written, every note I play, and been lucky enough to tour the globe sharing my songs for all walks of life.  I’m so grateful to be surrounded by so many talented musicians, and thanks to Kent Wells Productions, Jimmy Dulin, and Eric Varnell for making my songs come to life.  Thanks to Joe, Rachel, Damien, and Kenneth for sharing your ideas and talents to co-write what are some of my favorite songs I’ve ever written!  I’m fortunate to have people across the world open up their homes to me, feed me, and put me up for the night when I’ve been on the road.  My life has been crazy for the past 6 years touring non-stop, but I’m doing what I love to do, and have learned never to take a second of this life for granted.  Thank you Mama and Daddy for your unending love.  I love y’all so much, and Amanda for being the best manager ever and my prayer warrior and always lifting me up and encouraging me through life’s peaks and valleys.  Susan, Warne and Mark, thank you for sharing your art with me and being so creative and allowing others to see what you see through your lens.   Thanks to the session players who effortlessly understand and translate what I hear in my head so that my fans can listen to these songs the way I intend them to be heard.  Thanks for all the musicians who’ve played with me night after night, Jesse, Cookies, Beto, Bobby, James, Trevor, Rich and all you hired guns on the road.  Jerry, as always, impeccable artwork, you rock.   I’m so blessed to have Australia’s Viper Creek Band use the two songs I wrote with Damien Baguley on their latest EP.  Thank you Daddy for teaching me how to go catfish fishin’ and Papa Joe and Betty Jane, for all the memories at the lake and pontoon rides, I miss y’all so much and you’ll forever live on in my mind.  Most importantly, thank you Jesus for coming into my heart at 7 years old, and never leaving my side in this lonely, difficult world, for blessing me with stories to share, strength to endure, and your forgiveness.  Philippians 4:13

1. PUT SOME SOUTH IN YOUR MOUTH 3:26 (Written by Erica Sunshine Lee & James Parks)

Country fried steak, some mac and cheese when she gets in the kitchen she knows how to please with her apron on and absolutely nothing else. Sweet potatoes and pecan pie, it’s a slice of heaven, I ain’t gonna lie. Nothing better than a southern belle. Yeah, she’s cooking biscuits, gravy and grits. She’s frying bacon, eggs and all that, she taste so good you won’t wanna spit it out, yeah she’ll put some south in your mouth. Chicken and dumplings, some collard greens, nothing like soul food to meet a man’s needs. Mashed potatoes, she can sure whip em good. Homemade barbecue sauce on ribs, minute on your lips, lifetime on your hips, takes care of a man like a good southern girl should. CHORUS Once you taste her cooking, you’ll fall on the floor. You’ll drop down to your knees, she’ll have you begging for more. CHORUS

2. HO IN RIO - Erica Sunshine Lee & Derek Welsh

You needed a vacation with the boys, so you packed your bags and left.

I hear Brazil’s a nice place that time of year, although I never did expect,

For you to call me for a favor, forgot to send an email to some guy.

So I searched your inbox for the one you needed, but “The real trip to Brazil” caught my eye.

Too much information I read between the lines, was she the fun you were looking for?

You spoke what little Portuguese you had learned and asked her to get down with you in the store.

CHORUS

So how’s your Ho in Rio De Janeiro?  Carnival I hope you had a ball!

Sent all your friends the juicy details in your email, so how’s your Ho in Rio De Janeiro?

Thanks for the calls while you were down there. They really meant a lot to me.

Your “I love you’s” seemed pretty genuine, and the sweet emails you sent to me.

But funny how when you returned, you showed me all the photos from your trip.

You must have accidentally left a few out, because I missed the ones with you and that b****.

CHORUS

Stayed by your side for three whole days, you were deathly sick when you got back.

If I’d have known that you had cheated on me, I’d have drugged your chicken soup and kicked your sorry a**.

CHORUS

3. WITHOUT YOU I’M STILL ME - written by Erica Sunshine Lee

Somewhere you’re sitting in a bar. Somewhere I’m driving in my car. Somehow you’re fine without me. Somehow I’ve got to believe. Tomorrow will still come. I’ll take a shower and put my clothes on, brush my teeth, walk out the door like I did before. Put the car in drive. Keep breathing cuz I’m still alive. I’ve gotta believe without you I’m still me. Someone has been through this heartache. Someone just made it through another day. Somewhere there’s a reason for this pain. Someday I’ll climb back on that horse again. CHORUS I let you steal my happiness for too long.  You’re living your own life now it’s time. It’s time that I move on. Sometimes I tell myself lies. Sometimes I still break down and cry. Someday I’ll be able to drive passed your interstate exit and I’ll laugh. Cuz tomorrow has come, I took a shower and put my clothes on. Brushed my teeth, walked out the door like I did before. I put the car in drive. Took a deep breath cuz I’m still alive, now I believe without you I’m still me.

4. DRINKING AND DRIVING ME CRAZY - written by Erica Sunshine Lee
Last night was another long and cold lonely night We were out at the bar, everything was going right, But once again he lost control, one too many so I went home, And I've had about as much as I can take...
Cause He's drinking and driving me crazy!I've tried to ignore it but he keeps trying my patience, I thought he'd changed and he was growing up, But he keeps on drinking to prove he's tough, andHe's drinking and driving me crazy.

Thought things were starting to calm down, Especially since he's Almost thirty nowI didn't realize he'd had so much boozeTil we got in the car and he lost all his food, And left it down the side of my car.

CHORUS
How am I supposed to brush it under the rug, There's a fine line between buzzing and too much, You get Louder and Louder as the night rolls on, Sloppy then annoying then your attitude comes, And tomorrow's another wasted hangover.
CHORUS

5. YOU BREAK MY HEART- written by Erica Sunshine Lee

You break my heart rip it in two. I can run, I can hide, but I can’t get over you. You break my heart. Oh yes you do. No matter how I try I still love you. So I let you walk all over me, I pretend I make believe this time you’re here to stay. But it never fails, time always tells the truth comes out, I know you well, and I kick myself as you walk away. I believe those words, sincere they seem. Then the very next day you stomp all over me. Naive I’ve been to let you back in. The little voice inside saying save your pride can’t win. So I let you walk all over me, I pretend I make believe this time you’re here to stay. But it never fails, time always tells the truth comes out, I know you well and I kick myself as you walk away. You break my heart each time you leave, my tears soak every page in my diary. You break my heart like a china doll, then like a fool there’s nothing I can do but fall. I close my eyes and I pray at night. I’ll be stronger I’ll see the light, but the second you come back to me. I cave in when I see your grin, forget about all your sins, and once again…CHORUS Every time, I kick myself as you walk away. Right now I’m kicking myself as you walk away.

6. REASON TO LEAVE- written by Erica Sunshine Lee (Recorded with Special Guest Wayne Mills)

I can't remember the last conversation we had,

That didn't end up like a good boxing match gone bad.

You complain all the time I'm not what you want,

If you don't like the menu looks like you're at the wrong restaurant.

If you're looking for a reason to leave,

It's easy to see,

Seems like you're unhappy, and I do believe.

If you're looking for a reason to leave,

Don't go losing sleep,

I'll help you darling,

The reason is me.

Over time, we've grown closer and closer apart,

You ask me to come by and visit, and then it all starts,

The fussin' begins before you even walk through the door,

I'd rather get paid at the corner than be your cheap little whore.

CHORUS

Let's lay it out on the table before we go too far,

No need to hang onto the pieces of my broken heart.

CHORUS

7. POP WITH A TWANG- written by Erica Sunshine Lee

I ain't no in and out, no wanna be no fad.  No one hit wonder I'm here longer than that.I've got a lot to say, I'll strum away all day, and country music's what I play.
No I ain't just singing pop with a twang, I'm a real down home southern thing.  Robert E. Lee gave me his name, the Ole Opry's where I play to sing, I ain't just pop with a twang.

Seems like these days Nashville's watering down, losing sight of roots they had in the ground,

But there's some boys at the Alabama Line staying true to what old Hank had in mind.

CHORUS

Now I come from the south you know what I mean, stick to my guns won't cave to anything,

So when this "so called Country's" being played I scream, this ain't the kind of music I was born to sing.

CHORUS

8. YOU MAKE ME WANNA BELIEVE - written by Erica Sunshine Lee & Kenneth Johnson

I've been scared of falling so I don't let myself get too close to the edge,

But Baby there's something different about you that's made me jump right over the ledge.

Usually I hesitate, but you've renewed my faith.

You make me wanna believe in forever when I thought I'd never believe in "I do" Nd even for better or worse and the times that we share and all the things that you do...

You make me wanna believe.

I tried to fight it for so long when I met you it was too good to be true.

But there's a certainty I get from your smile and I know that you're feeling it too,

Now I'm slowly letting go of all the reservations I once knew.

Chorus

In the past I held back, love wasn't part of my plans,

But now I know I'm ready for you to take me by the hand.

Chorus

9. I’M JUST YOUR WOMAN - written by Erica Sunshine Lee

If I was your job, would you wake up early each day?

If I was your boss, would you listen to a word I say?

If I was your buddies, would you wanna go out on the town?

If I was that bottle, would you crave the taste of me now?

CHORUS

But I'm just your woman, the one who lays beside you every night,

Just your woman, invisibly making everything alright.

The one who loves you more than you will ever understand.

I'm just your woman, if only you could be my man.

If I was your muscle car, would you check under my hood;

Take me out back and see if I'm running like I should?

If I was your tv, would you watch me all night long?

Tune in every second and ignore your telephone?

CHORUS (x2)

If I was a goodbye letter lying on your bed,

Would you even notice I had gone, would you have any regrets?

10.   WHIPPED CREAM - written by Erica Sunshine Lee
It started way back at an early age, we'd raid the fridge and then hideaway.

Mama was fussin' at me and my cousin, we could dust the whole can in one day.

CHORUS

Whipped cream, it's my favorite thing, especially on top of ice cream.

Whipped cream, BJ's cookie dough, strawberries or hot cocoa.

Talkin' 'bout whipped cream, I'll admit I'm a fiend,

I'll do just about anything right now for a bottle of whipped cream.

Redi-whip or Lucerne is not my concern, but I won't settle for cool whip.

I like it straight up from the bottle, tastes so good when it touches your lips.

CHORUS
Now fellas if you wanna win me over, don't bother buying me a drink,

I'd rather just have a chocolate shake, and don't forget the extra...

CHORUS

1. The Night the Bad Me Died - Music & Lyrics Written by Erica Sunshine Lee
I used to drink like a sinner and I smoked more than a train.
I used to run over all the boys never cared about their pain.
I used to cry myself to sleep just angry to exist.
I used to think I'd go to jail and never would be missed.

I never once did anything I wanted to explain.
The only thing that I possessed was my family's name.
I stubbornly gave up on love and never even tried.
But the night that I met you was the night the bad me died.

I used to have my road rage and drive out of control.
I used to think that growing up meant I was getting old.
I used to want nothing more than a flavor of the week,
I used to be the one to talk so no one else could speak.

I never wanted anything bad enough that I felt pain.
The only thing that I possessed was my family's name.
I stubbornly gave up on love and never even tried,
But the night that I met you was the night the bad me died.

I used to stop and think about only me and myself.
I used to walk the streets at night only raising hell.
I used to dance with danger cause I had nothing to lose.
I used to have it all figured out but I was just confused.

2. Austin - Music & Lyrics Written by Erica Sunshine Lee

Little Austin was born in '83, in a small garlic town. His mom was crazy, she stole him away one day, they ended up in Washington state.

Times were tough without a father growing up.

Austin's past still haunts him everyday.

Trying to forget the mistakes his mother made. (x3)

He grew up quickly, saw things he shouldn't have seen. His uncle laid in a puddle of blood. He handed and HIV needle to a child, gave him a nightmare all his life.

Times were tough without a father growing up.

Austin's past still haunts him everyday.

Trying to forget the mistakes his mother made. (x3)

Now Austin's 26 working hard to get by. He makes the best white mochas in a coffee shop on the corner of his small town, just trying to lead a normal life.

Times were tough without a father growing up.

Austin's past still haunts him everyday.

Trying to forget the mistakes his mother made. (x4)

3. Butterfly - Music & Lyrics Written by Erica Sunshine Lee

Butterfly take me out of this town,

I'm trying to leave but there's too much holding me down.

It seems so easy for you to leave it behind, but I'm having a much harder time.

I wanna be free like you

I wanna be free like you

it looks so easy the way that you breeze by,

I'd like to come along and enjoy the ride.

So I can be free like you.

Butterfly can I borrow your wings?

I'd like to fly for a while, see a newer scene.

Afterwards then I could decide, if I still want to run and hide.

I'd love to be free like you

I'd love to be free like you

it looks so easy the way that you breeze by,

I'd like to come along and enjoy the ride.

So I can be free like you.

Butterfly do you ever miss your home.

I've been gone for a month I'm starting to feel alone.

Even though I'm loving what I've seen,

With nobody here it just don't mean a thing.

I love to be free like you.

I love to be free like you.

It feels so natural when I breeze by,

But I'm wishing I had another butterfly,

So I can be free like...

You've got the whole world in front of you.

No worries up ahead.

Do you wonder where you're going?

Would it be nice to know instead?

I love to be free like you

I love to be free like you

it feels so natural when I breeze by,

But I'm wishing I had another butterfly

So I can be free like you.

Yeah, I wanna be free like you.

Free like you, yeah, butterfly butterfly,

Fly away, oh yeah, free like you, free like you.

4. The Walk of Shame - Music & Lyrics Written by Erica Sunshine Lee

What was I thinking, guess I must've been tired.

Waking up next to someone, I'm feeling so uninspired.

Now I can't help but wonder, how'd I get in this mess.

Another random night just caused another morning of stress.

The walk of shame, my hair's in such a mess,

The walk of shame, still got on my black dress.

The walk of shame, my mama would not be impressed,

Why do I keep playing these games?

The walk of shame.

Now I played the game, gave the pity kiss goodbye.

But our lips could both tell that we were telling a lie.

Now I can't help but wonder, what was I thinking?

Another sober moment, wishing I had been drinking.

The walk of shame, my hair's in such a mess,

The walk of shame, still got on my black dress.

The walk of shame, my mama would not be impressed,

Why do I keep playing these games?

The walk of shame.

Met each other out on the town, didn't know we'd end up fooling around now I

Can't help but wonder how did this happen

Like a keg I hadn't even planned on tappin'.

The walk of shame, my hair's in such a mess,

The walk of shame, still got on my black dress.

The walk of shame, my mama would not be impressed,

Why do I keep playing these games?

The walk of shame, my hair's in such a mess,

The walk of shame, smell like stale cigarettes.

The walk of shame, my mama would not be impressed,

Why do I keep playing these games?

I'm so ashamed.

5. I Suppose - Music & Lyrics Written by Erica Sunshine Lee

I suppose she's got on something old,

I suppose she's got on something new,

I suppose you're what she borrowed,

I suppose I'm the one wearing blue.

I suppose things work out,

The way they're supposed to,

But I always thought I'd be the one,

Telling you "I Do."

I suppose you wanted me to attend,

And suppose I'd shown up there,

How could I pretend,

I no longer care?

I suppose she is your type.

I suppose she'll fit in the family,

Am I supposed to believe

You aren't wishing it was me?

I suppose things work out,

The way they're supposed to,

But I always thought I'd be the one,

Telling you "I Do."

I wish you nothing but the best,

But I supposed you guessed,

I can't honor your request

To see her next to you in that dress.

I suppose things work out,

The way they're supposed to,

But I always thought I'd be the one,

Telling you "I Do."

But I always thought I'd be the one,

telling you, telling you "I Do."

Yeah I always thought I'd be the one

Telling you "I Do."

I suppose things will work out.

6. The Braggin You Do - Music & Lyrics Written by Erica Sunshine Lee

Lips running I'm gonna make you put your money where your mouth is, so come over here slowly, bring it on if you wanna follow through it's time you do some backing it up. Show me the loving that you're talking about I wanna feel you out, see if you're as good as the braggin' you do, the braggin' you do whoa. Now I'm sitting over here, watching you drink a beer, laughing with your boys, making some noise, you think I'm so naive, like one word of that I believe, what you're saying's just breath you're wasting. Unless you've got nerve, show me you're worth it, otherwise I'll just have to assume, it's just braggin' you do,

It's just braggin you do,

the braggin' you do,

oh the braggin' you do,

the braggin' you do.

Last call's almost here, liquid coated fears are starting to arise, you're spilling your drink, what did you think I'd be impressed, well Honey, you guessed it, I'm walking out alone, left the dog with a bone. Now you've had your chance and you blew it, but it's nothing new, just the braggin' you do.

It's just braggin you do,

the braggin' you do,

oh the braggin' you do,

the braggin' you do.

Paper thin words, thoughtless actions, couldn't help but lead to my unattraction. Sorry you missed out, no need to speak allow me to be dismissed, you won't be kissing me tonight.

Well I'm sitting by myself, you're so full of yourself, you think you're all I need well baby please, you're looking my way, did you expect a lay, me to fall at your feet because you bought me a drink. Come on and do what you say you're gonna do to me, or is it braggin' you do?

The braggin you do,

the braggin' you do,

oh the braggin' you do,

the braggin' you do.

7. What it takes to be a Country Man - Music & Lyrics Written by Erica Sunshine Lee

Yee-haw all of y'all, standing in your overalls,

Tight jeans over boots, raisin' hell cutting loose,

Sweet home Alabama, redneck boy country grammar,

Praising God on Sunday, back to work Monday,

Small town gather round, we know who's getting down.

Raised up pickup truck, it's time to get jacked up.

Yeah we've got Jack and Jim and the cooler's full

Out by the lake making our own rules,

You city boys wouldn't understand

What it takes to be a country man.

Sweet little country girl gonna give you awhirl,

potty mouth like a sailor, meaner than an alligator.

She's bold at 17, though her Daddy's record's clean

He scared the boys, she dated none, rumors from his shotgun,

Sneaking out late at night, who cares it's worth the fight,

Never mess with Daddy's aim, his wall is full of 12 point game.

Yeah we've got Jack and Jim and the cooler's full

Out by the lake making our own rules,

You city boys wouldn't understand

What it takes to be a country man.

Banana Bridge, Boat Ramp, Cheerleading little tramp,

Senior year came fast, field parties didn't last.

Football state champs, down at the school dance

Traded scholarships for fun, nine months later had a son.

Played with fire and now he learned, eventually we all get burned.

All his hopes and dreams are gone, should've put a helmet on.

Yeah we've got Jack and Jim and the cooler's full

Out by the lake making our own rules,

You city boys wouldn't understand

What it takes to be a country man.

Yeah we've got Jack and Jim and the cooler's full

Out by the lake making our own rules,

You city boys wouldn't understand

What it takes to be a country man.

City boys don't understand, what it takes to be a country man.

Yee-haw!

8. Born to Love You- Music & Lyrics Written by Erica Sunshine Lee

It took me all these years to find the reason I exist.

But the minute I tasted your kiss, it all became obvious that

I was born to love you (x4).

Before we met I was coasting down a hill, then our paths got tangled up.

Your compass found me when I wasn't even lost. It's no coincidence they crossed 'cause

I was born to you (x4).

There are a million things to occupy my youth, but the stars aligned it's true.

There's not one ounce of insecurity or doubt, your lips on mine gently shout that

I was born to love you (x4).

Stuttering words, sweaty hands for me is new, but all the evidence is proof that

I was born to love you (x4).

9. Woodland Road - Music & Lyrics Written by Erica Sunshine Lee

Remember going down to our little creek?

After school that's where we'd meet,

Getting 'bout as dirty as we could be.

I couldn't wait 'til that time each day.

When we got to slide down the hill and play,

Man it was so messy down in that red clay.

Living on Woodland Road, life was easy we didn't know

How good we had it back then, man I wish we could go back there again.

You threw sand right in my eyes,

Told me Santa Claus was all lies,

So I ran home that day and cried.

Do you remember the fifth grade dance?

Guess we thought it was a real romance.

We were both just standing there in a trance.

Living on Woodland Road, life was easy we didn't know

How good we had it back then, man I wish we could go back there again.

You were the first boy who slept with me,

But that didn't count 'cause we were only three,

And our first kiss when we climbed in that tree.

We knew we'd get married, told everyone,

And having ten kids sounded like lots of fun,

Swimming in my pool in that hot summer sun.

Living on Woodland Road, life was easy we didn't know

How good we had it back then, man I wish we could go back there again.

My things changed after so many years

You're getting hitched now and I'm way out here,

So happy for you though I might shed a tear.

10. Check Please - Music & Lyrics Written by Erica Sunshine Lee

Waiting at the restaurant, quarter past eight,

Funny 'cause I'm the one usually late.

Another online match gotta get through,

The blind date I'm not looking forward to.

He walked in looked around real slow,

I slightly recognized him from the photo.

Check please, check please

Can I get the check please?

Check please, check please,

So I can move onto the next sleaze.

Don't know what type of tape measure he had

Where I come from 6'4" don't look like that.

Did our small talk got it out of the way,

But there was no chance of any chemistry.

Meanwhile the waiter was smiling at me,

He was my type exactly to a tee.

Check please, check please

Can I get the check please?

Check please, check please,

So I can move onto the next sleaze.

He was athletic tall, a handsome flirt

Godiva cheesecake wasn't my dessert.

So we left and walked to my car,

Said our goodnights, but I didn't go far.

No thanks to the Eharmony dater,

I found my own and left with my waiter.

Check please, check please

Can I get the check please?

Check please, check please,

So I can move onto the next Check please, check please

Can I get the check please?

Check please, check please,

So I can move onto the next

Check please, check please

Can I get the check please?

Check please, check please,

So I can move onto the next sleaze.
